MACUARIMA, ARUBA: In a pleasant celebration at the Yrausquiun auto company, a new fleet for police patrols and the traffic and border police departments was announced.
In the presence of the Minister of Justice and Social Affairs, Mr. Rocco Tjon, the Chief Commissioner of Police, Drs. Ramon Arnhem, police command, and Yrausquin management, this symbolic event took place.
The Aruba Police Force will receive new police patrols of the FORD brand, models Everest and Ranger. This choice came after a police commission organized and conducted investigations and test drives of several vehicles for the new fleet. Together with the Ministry of Justice, the selection process was thorough, and the recommendation favored this brand, resulting in Yrausquin winning the public tender.
In addition to this, the Aruba Police Force will also receive a new fleet of vehicles for the investigative and administrative departments.

Furthermore, this will be the first time in Aruba’s history that not only sophisticated police patrols but also “Data Terminals” will be included in this new fleet. The Aruba Police Force continues to innovate with technology, and each vehicle will be equipped with in-car computers to facilitate the daily tasks of the officers and advance in technology. This represents a significant step forward for both technology and justice in Aruba.
Soon, these new state-of-the-art vehicles will be seen on our streets, proudly displaying the blue and yellow stripes of our flag, as we proudly carry them every day.
