Pero su esfuerso no a bay envano. A crea un busto na su nomber, na su imagen, na su carácter manera semper e mes tabata. Un persona ehemplar un polis ehemplar cu semper e tabata tey pa sirbi su pais dignamente.

MACUARIMA, ARUBA: On his birthday, a statue was unveiled in his honor. On Saturday afternoon, in a special ceremony, a statue of Tino Ruiz was unveiled for his memorial. In the presence of the Minister of Justice and Social Affairs, Mr. Rocco Tjon, as well as the Chief Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ramon Arnhem, colleagues, family, and parents of Tino Ruiz took a moment to remember a National Hero. May 6th is Tino Ruiz’s birthday and for this reason, the opportunity was taken to unveil the statue in his name.
On July 3, 2017, while fulfilling his duty as a police officer serving his community, Tino Ruiz tragically lost his life. This incident shocked the community but also our police organization with his loss.
But his efforts were not in vain. A statue was created in his name, in his image, in his character as he always was. An exemplary person, an exemplary police officer who was always there to serve his country with dignity.
“Tino will always be with us, around us, and beside us, but most importantly in our hearts. We cannot see him, but I am convinced that from heaven, he sees us with a smile on his face. Never forget, but let this statue reflect the profession we have, but also what Tino taught us. Respect, humility, heart, and courage.” These were the words of Chief Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ramon Arnhem during his speech.
The bust bearing the name of Tino Ruiz is located at the Motor Unit department, formerly known as the Noord Police Station. A beautiful place that was built for a young man who paid the ultimate price by doing his job.
The statue of Tino Ruiz is a symbol of respect, determination, humility, heart, and courage. A symbol to continue to stimulate and cultivate the blue blood in the Aruba Police Force.
