Recently, students from the class of 2019 took part in the “Stress Kleine Groepsoptreden” (SKGO) course as part of their police training. This involved undergoing a rigorous exercise to learn how to handle stress in different situations.
After 4 years of police studies, this exercise is one they must go through before completing their training. The SKGO training is of utmost importance for the colleagues. During this course, our officers played a crucial role in their professional development and career trajectory. They learned different techniques to manage stress, improve communication, and work together in cooperation.
The training lasted for two weeks and was conducted by instructors from the Police School E.J. Watty Vos, in cooperation with the Marine Barracks in Savaneta.
At the end of the training, Chief Commissioner of The Aruba Police, Drs. Ramon Arnhem, along with the instructors from the Police School E.J. Watty Vos, the students from the class of 2021, and the Fire Department, congratulated the students from the class of 2019 for successfully completing the course after running over 5km. They warmly welcomed them and commended them for finishing the course successfully.
In this way, they have also successfully completed their police studies and are well-prepared to provide service of high quality.
